Cayenne Pepper

Is Cayenne really beneficial...?

America's famed master herbalist, Dr. John Christopher, used cayenne as one of his favorite herbs, particularly when someone was having a heart attack!

"Pour some cayenne pepper in a glass of warm water and have patient drink it all down. He will come right out of his problem due to the cayenne enabling the body to normalize the blood circulation."

--John Christopher, Master Herbalist

The simple answer to why cayenne can be good for many problems--not only strokes--is called circulation. A common denominatior with all disease is a lack of circulation, a lack of fresh blood, especially to the area that is sick or diseased.

Dr. Richard Schulze, a student of Dr. Christopher, has a file full of case histories in which he used cayenne effectively to treat many diseases.

"Cayenne should be an herb which everyone has in the kitchen, the bathroom and in the trunk of your car," he reminds us.

"Because there is no other herb that moves the blood faster to the brain than cayenne.

"It relieves the pain of angina pectoris by helping to get more blood to the heart muscle itself. And if a person has a heart attack, Cayenne is the surest first-aid remed.

"I have had almost a hundred patients actually save their lives by using a tablespoon of Cayenne pepper in a glass of warm water and drinking it down fast."

By increasing the circulation of the blood to peripheral tissues throughout the body, Cayenne helps deliver necessary nutrients to inflamed and infected areas. Studies show the nutrients in food ingested with Cayenne are assimilated faster and easily.

The herb itself contains many nutrients essential to the health of the circulatory system including alpha-tocopherols, vitamin C and minerals. Ceyenne also contains a high amount of vitamin A (beta-carotene) which aids in healing ulcers. the redder the Cayenne pepper, the more vitamin A it contains. Paprika, the mildest Cayenne, has the highest vitamin C content of all. Cayene, the vibrant red fruit bursting with heat and energy, holds more vitamin C and beta-carotene than any other plant in the garden.

Cayenne's high mineral content, including sulphur, iron, calcium, magnesium and phosphorus, makes it an effective treatment for diabetes, gas, arthritis, pancreatic and throat disorders. The high vitamin C content helps target colds, while the tremendous amount of beta-carotene helps speed the healing of ulcers.

A most remarkable quality of Cayenne is its ability to act as a catalyst. A little bit of Cayenne goes a long way, by dramatically increasing the efficiency of most herbs.
